3D Diamond Renderings

With Realistic 3D rendering I realize I can design jewelries and present them in a photo-realistic manner!
The above image of the 5 diamonds with different cuts is a result of a week long struggle to get the rocks to reflect and refract light in a correct manner. As you can see, there is light dispersion in the diamond, which was my holy grail. The following images are examples of my first try before I finally got it right.

Ring Design number 1

Ring Design number 2
Two of my first two visualizations of diamond ring designs. The diamond itself is not exhibiting correct light dispersion.
Made in Mental Ray. The diamonds look nice but something is still off. They look more like crystals...

Marquise Diamonds Rendering. There are hints of colors in the diamond but still not strong enough!

Finally!

**I am thankful for the opportunity of working with Muirsis because it is from working with them that I learnt about depicting shiny surface. Making a metal surface appear attractive is quite tricky.

2014 and Beginnings

I had been pushing myself to manage my available free time better.

I finished a book called The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. The book bores strong relation with The Art of War in ideology. Steven's book is a modern guide for Artists, or anybody who wishes to go on a journey to achieve success in any activity that rejects immediate satisfactions in favor of long term growth, health or integrity.

I've also started following Noah Bradley, whose works continue to inspire me. His advice are also very helpful and encouraging. A continued process of improving oneself in the making of art is one of the most difficult endeavors. It is likely to be my true priority in life.
